How Cauzoom Projects Work

Cauzoom is an online community fundraising tool - when you need a fun and easy way to raise awareness and support for a worthy project. We offer plenty of ways for everyone to get involved and support for every step of the process. Here's how it works:

1.
Bring your community to the table. What needs to get done? What does the community want to do? Can you invite businesses that share your goals?
2.
Create a project that accomplishes something important to your community. The more tangible the better.
3.
Engage your supporters and enlist their help. Invite supporting communities that overlap in their interests. Use our tools to spread the word.
4.
When the goal is achieved, the project proceeds and everyone wins! Use us to stay in touch and report on the outcome.

* Cauzoom charges no fees to the organization running the project. You get 100% of the funds raised!

What's Your Cauz?

Can you think of a project that needs to get done? You don't have to be a nonprofit - Use your imagination. Start with this simple form - there's absolutely no obligation:

My Cauz Is...*
Why it needs to be done / How I'd do it
Where it would take place *
My email *
How much money would it take? *
$
What's 2 + 3? (Just to be sure you're a real person) *

No obligation. We're cool like that.

Questions We Get All The Time

How much does Cauzoom cost?

Joining Cauzoom is free! When you find a Cauz you can get behind, your contribution is whatever you want it to be.

How much do you charge for running the project?

Nothing! The social organization running the project keeps 100% of the funds raised.

How does Cauzoom make money?

We ask for a promotional fee from businesses sponsoring each project - independent of the amount they contribute. That's it!

What's a Cauz?

A Cauz is a project with a real, tangible social outcome. A Cauz happens through the collective effort of everyone associated: the sponsoring social organization, Cauzoom, and YOU.

Do I have to buy something to support a Cauz?

Nope! You can contribute directly, volunteer, or just help spread the word.

What kinds of projects do you feature?

Projects with a concrete and tangible social outcome: we think people prefer to participate when they know exactly what their investment will achieve.

Cauzoom Fundamentals

Why do Cauzes have deadlines and goals?

In many cases, a Cauz is dedicated to achieiving a specific outcome that needs to happen by a certain date; other times a business partner is restricting the time their participation is available. In any case, deadlines help get things DONE!

Why are Cauzoom projects all-or-nothing?

On Cauzoom, a project must reach its funding goal before time runs out or no money changes hands. This way, no one is expected to execute a project with an insufficient budget, and you don't contribute to things you didn't authorize.

How long do projects take?

Usually 3-4 weeks. But they can hit their threshold faster when its supporters really crank it out.

I know a great organization
that ought to be using Cauzoom. What do I do?

Definitely send Cauzoom to your group. Or join our Cauzoomers program and get credit for every organization or business you bring in!
