A proud man and hard worker, Scott has refused to ask for help of any kind during his current battle with cancer. After many refusals of assistance from friends to attempt to fundraise on his behalf, he has finally allowed his friends to step in and do what we can.

I am creating this group to gather as many friends as we can in anticipation for future local and online fundraising attempts for his families behalf. This is a family that has exhausted all feasible means within their working power, and needs the support of friends and community to step up and help.

While it may seem insurmountable for one person, if we band together, it will not be insurmountable. Scott's work ethic is one that exceeds accepting charity, so devising this fundraiser where the giver actually receives something seems right up his alley.

DESCRIPTION:

I am starting this group for a dear friend fighting colon cancer for the second time in his short life. In brief, he has had a rough go of life the past few years. After surgery and ongoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, the bills are rapidly piling up, and despite working a fulltime job and trying to promote his art, the expenses are reaching a breaking point. Your support will help keep the lights on while Scott undergoes treatment for the next month.

Support of Scott was created by a group of friends for one purpose: To help support the people who always supported us. Like many out there Scott is struggling with cancer. Aside from the tremendous toll this awful disease is taking on his body, Scott and his family are also struggling financially. Through this organization we aim to help alleviate some of those financially worries so that Scott, our friend, can focus on kicking cancer in the butt!
